Why is that so, you may ask? Because Weibel develops the world’s most advanced Doppler radars »Our products are based on our own innovation and development, and the technology is groundbreaking Very few companies in Denmark are this cutting-edge, and that is what prompted me to write an unsolicited application, « Christoffer enthuses A COMFORTABLY STEEP LEARNING CURVE Christoffer started his employment at Weibel immediately after finishing his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering in June 2022. At first, he worked on smaller tasks, but when his manager realised that he was ready for more, he became an important part of the development of a new thermo cooling unit for one of Weibel’s state of the art radars »It has been a steep learning curve, but it has been a comfortable process because I always had my mentor or manager available when it was necessary I also get a lot of guidance from my more experienced colleagues, and at the same time, they have taken me seriously from day one, « says Christoffer IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION IS MOTIVATING AND INSPIRES LEARNING Weibel develops and manufactures their systems in-house, and this has provided Christoffer with the opportunity to be involved in the entire process – from concept design to prototype production, test, and verification. »It is very motivating to see that your work is being implemented – as opposed to school assignments You have a real impact on a product that is a game changer within its market, and that instils an immense sense of pride, « he says Being able to communicate with the on-site production team is also a huge benefit, he adds: »During the design process, I can ask about their requirements and get an answer straight away, and we also have on-site testing facilities, enabling us to reach our goals much faster It’s so educational and rewarding to talk with our production team, who have a tonne of experience within their field.«
