All lifeboats have a hydrostatic interlock to determine that the craft’s load has been transferred to the sea, but VIKING Nadiro uses a water sensor for the accurate signal of boat being waterborne. Reliable re-hooking in foul weather As per LSA Code, all lifeboats approved as rescue boat must have Foul Weather Recovery system. Bringing the lifeboat safely back on board following deployment in drill or rescue operation is a crucial part of any great hook design. VIKING Nadiro Drop-In-Ball™ foul weather recovery strop is a unique combination with minimum number of components. It gives flexible connection to the hook, absorbs shocks from high waves and ensures the heavy floating block doesn’t harm crews during lifeboat retrieval.
