STCW Security Courses STCW e-learning VIKING Safety Academy’s complete STCW e-learning courses ensure that your crew is professionally trained according to the latest requirements. The STCW ISPS training is required for seafarers and other personnel who work on board ships or offshore rigs, and provide a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities against security compromising activities. Each level of the ISPS training covers different aspects of maritime security, such as security principles, threats, responsibilities of crew, implementation of security related mat- ters, coordination and communication on board, response to emergencies, and develop- ment and evaluation of the ship security plan. The training level required depends on the role and duties of the individual crew member. The International Ship and Port Facility Security courses by VIKING are approved by the Danish Maritime Authority and delivered through e-learning entirely. When completing this train- ing, you will be able to demonstrate compe- tence and compliance with the international standards and regulations for ISPS. How to access the training VIKING’s e-learning courses are offered through www.viking-safetyacademy.com where you will sign up to create your personal training profile. The courses are purchased and launched directly on the website through your profile. Upon com- pletion you will be able to download your certifi- cate as a PDF for print or storage on your PC. If you wish to be able to enroll and manage a large crew for our e-learning courses and track their training progress you can also choose to sign up a company directly in our Learning Man- agement System.
