SHORT | NEWS PROUDLY PRESENTING STRPOELRLTESBCOLRUGB At Trelleborg, we want to contribute to positive social development, no matter where we are. One way of doing this is by becoming involved in the communities around us to support young people in their development. We call this initiative Trelleborg SportsClub. Trelleborg recognizes that children are the future for our company as well as for society as a whole. This is why they are considered an important part of our social engagement. We strongly believe that sport, educa- tion and coaching have the ability to change the course of life. These are the main reasons for us to engage in partnerships with sports clubs and associations. We are convinced that these partnerships make a difference – not only to the individual but also to society as a whole – by giving dedica- ted support to young people’s learning and development activities. At this stage, a few selected clubs with a local historical tie to Trelleborg have become the first members of the Trelleborg SportsClub initiative: FC Rosengård, Malmö Redhawks and Trelleborgs FF. These clubs also have one thing in common that goes beyond sport – they engage in initia- tives with children and youth, helping them in their development. Jenny Damgaard, Club Manager of FC Rosengård, is pleased with the collaboration, and says: ”We at FC Rosengård stand on two equal legs – one sporting and one social. Through the support of initiatives such as the Trelleborg SportsClub, we want to show what a powerful tool soccer can be to create positive changes in society. For us, Trelleborg SportsClub is a great platform to help inspire people to participate in sports and other associations.” If you are interested in learning more, follow Trelleborg SportsClub on Instagram or Facebook. 1 0 | connect Nr 1 2022
