They cannot be recycled whole in this country as recycling facilities are unable to cope with combined materials. The packaging is recyclable. Degradable • Bacteria, funghi or other biological means are used in the disintegration of materials. • Plastics do not degrade in a way that is kind to the environment. The particles still exist and make their way into the food chain. • O ur products are degradable, but not to a level that is adequate for the environment. Biodegradable • Degraded / converted to carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms. • S ome biodegradable bioplastics can be degraded by nature (eg PLA, PHA, PBS, Starch blends, PBAT, PCL). • O ther plastics (PE, PET, PA, PTT, PP) are not biodegradable. • T ePe uses mainly Polypropylene (PP), and Polyethylene (PE) materials in its products which are NOT biodegradable. Sustainable • To be described as sustainable, a plastic has to be: 1. Environmentally sustainable; 2. Economically sustainable; 3. Socially sustainable. • We have started our journey using sustainable materials with the launch of TePe GOOD® and are committed to launching more products from sustainable materials in future. Renewable • A resource which can be used repeatedly and replaced naturally (eg sugar cane). • U nlike non-renewable sources, renewables can be recreated / regrown within a relatively short time interval. Introducing TePe GOOD® toothbrush TePe GOOD® is our commitment to making our business even more sustainable, without compromising product safety, quality or hygiene. TePe GOOD® is the start of our sustainable journey: made from sugarcane and castor oil it reduces CO₂ emissions by 95% (compared to our Select toothbrushes). From GOOD sources 100% bio-based filaments and a handle made from 96% sugar cane. Good, renewable materials. From GOOD Energy Produced using 100% green energy, partly from our own roof-top solar panels. From GOOD results Absorbs 95% of CO2 emissions during its life cycle.
