Following the UK’ s depa rt ure from the EU, an adapted ver s ion of REACH applie s within Great Britain (which i s generally referred to a s “ UK REACH ”). A rt icle 33(1) REACH require s that the s upplier of an a rt icle communicate s to the recipient of the a rt icle s u ffi cient information available to the s upplier on ce rt ain s ub s tance s pre s ent in the a rt icle to allow s afe u s e of the a rt icle. A rt icle 33(1) REACH applie s to s ub s tance s in a rt icle s meeting all the following criteria: (i) the s ub s tance i s identi fi ed a s a Sub s tance of Very High Concern (“ SVHC ”) according to A rt icle 57 REACH, (ii) the s ub s tance i s included in the Candidate Li s t to REACH, h tt p s ://echa.europa.eu/candidate-li s t-table (UK: h tt p s ://www.h s e.gov.uk/reach/candidate-li s t.htm) and (iii) the s ub s tance i s pre s ent in the a rt icle in a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w). Thi s thre s hold applie s to each a rt icle of a product made up of more than one a rt icle, which were joined or a ss embled together (complex product s ). Thi s mean s that the concentration of SVHC i s not calculated on the w/w of the whole product, it i s calculated on the s peci fi c a rt icle. Our current knowledge regarding pre s ence of SVHC included in the Candidate Li s t to REACH in a concentration above 0.1% w/w in our a rt icle s i s a s follow s . Lead (CAS no 7439-92-1) Lead i s commonly u s ed in s teel and bra ss to improve machinability, in general in accordance with applicable ISO- s tandard s . The following categorie s of our tool s contain s mall a rt icle s made of s teel and/or bra ss and could therefore contain more than 0.1% w/w lead in that s mall a rt icle. Di s po s al of all wa s te product s and container s s hall be made in accordance with local, s tate/provincial, federal and national regulation s . We are continuou s ly evaluating the po ss ibilitie s to replace a rt icle s containing lead in our product s to lead-free a rt icle s . Such replacement s are done after an overall a ss e ss ment taking into account factor s s uch a s ri s k s , characteri s tic s and technical pe rf ormance. We do not have any indication s that any other SVHC are pre s ent in a concentration above 0.1% w/w in our product s , including hardmetal (cemented carbide) in s e rts s upplied by u s .
