Editorial 2020 already looks like another very encouraging year for us. For a profitable and sustainable futurE Welcome to the first Scania Power magazine of 2020. Scania has enjoyed exceptional engine sales over the past couple of years. One key reason for our performance is the strength of our expanding customer base. We’re proud and fortunate to work with excellent likeminded customers who share our determination and dedication to combining sustainability with profitability. In this issue, you’ll meet Italian dumper truck specialist Perlini, who chose Scania’s fuelefficient 13-litre engines, which comply fully with European Stage V emission regulations, to power its enormous new vehicles, and Aggreko, the leading power generation company that provided the power for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan using Scania engines. Swedish ferry company Blidösundsbolaget has fitted its grand old M/S Rex boat with a hybrid-electric powertrain designed by Scania, bringing this new automotive technology to the marine world. This issue of Scania Power comes as we display our full range of power solutions at the conexpo-con/agg trade show in Las Vegas. We value the opportunity to meet our existing and prospective customers, hear your needs and find ways to help you. Enjoy reading Scania Power magazine! The seafood industry is an important contributor to the economy of Australia’s island state. Storm Bay is well named, as the Hogan has to be ready for whatever nature throws at it. “The barge is designed to withstand 12-metre waves, and all systems can be controlled and monitored remotely from our office in Hobart, meaning our fish get fed and our staff stay safe,” says James Bender, Huon’s Business Development Executive. www.scania.com
