Why? Because technologies, trends in marketing and client behaviour are changing so rapidly, we are in a time where being a great dentist just isn’t good enough. On this lecture I will share with you my path from analogue dentistry to digital dentistry, my path from 2D dentistry to 3D digital dentistry. Indeed there will be a “before and after” in your career as a dentist when you start to use the Digital Smile Design (DSD) philosophy. On this lecture I would like to share my experience from the beginning in 2014, when I gave my first lecture in DSD to being KOL of the official team of DSD. Digital Smile Design gives you several advantages. For instance better com- munication with patients and improved patient experience meaning case acceptance can increase radically. DSD is based on a multidisciplinary comprehensive facially driven treat- ment plan that always allows the user to give the best possible diagnosis. But to do so you need to master the knowledge on how to digitalise patients and how to determine what the best protocol is. DSD will help you improve your work and take it to the next level. Both design and treatment planning gets better, communication with your team and patients improves and hopefully you get more control in your execution process.
