NASSAU Radio Equipment Nassau Door A/S has a wide range of radio equipment for wireless operation of your industrial or private doors. At the following pages you will find a technical description of each product containing all relevant information you may need. Radio control offers more comfort since you can operate the door remotely. This is very convenient in your daily transpor - tation through the door. E.g. when using trucks, cars, etc. Furthermore, the Nas - sau radio program gives a maximum fle - xibility, as each receiver responds to a multiple number of transmitters. Below you find information, which is im - portant to take into account prior instal - ling the radio equipment. Radio transmission Radio signals are placed in a ISM fre - quency area. These frequency bands are used in many applications and in - clude the following frequencies: 27, 40, 315, 390, 433 and 868 MHz. The diffe - rent frequencies may interfere with one another within the same range and fre- quency band of the radio control system. Security and programming The security is guaranteed through a specific transmission structure, which consists of a 48 bit telegram with more than 70 mill. combinations. Furthermo - re, the self-learning function of the recei - ver always secures a unique transmis - sion of codes between the transmitters, which prevent unintended use of the ra - dio equipment. Installation In order to achieve an optimal transmis - sion of the radio signal we recommend placing the receiver in a visible location, in which the transmitter can “see” the receiver. If the radio signal has to pass firm objects as wood, bricks or metal constructions the transmission range may be reduced. The following table gives an indication of the range of the Nassau radio equip- ment: Material Air - open landscape Wood and plastic surfaces Brick and concrete walls Reinforced concrete structures Metal walls and metal plating Range 100 % 80-95 % 60-90 % 10-50 % 0-10 % Radio receivers and antennas should not be located close to metal construc - tions as it may interfere with the radio transmission. A minimum distance of 0,1 meter must be maintained otherwise the transmission is reduced considerably. General specifications: • Frequency 868,3 MHz • Range (max.) From 100 m to 200 m (dependent on transmitter power) • Transmitters 2, 4, 10 and 999 • Receivers 1 and 3 • Power supply 12/24 VAC/DC en 230 VAC • Programmed instructions Program selector on the receiver and 2
