SECTION 3 – Service Fittings Copper Flare Connection ɡ CONNECTION MEETS - all applicable parts of AWWA C800 standard. ɡ CONVEX SURFACE - in nut opposes convex surface on body to provide a line contact, assuring greater pullout resistance and a dependable seal. ɡ PRESSURE RATING - The pressure holding capability of the Copper Flare Connection is designed to be greater than that of the valve or fitting on which it is used (only in potable water distribution applications complying with AWWA standards). ɡ COPPER FLARE CONNECTION - is for use on type "K" copper tubing . ɡ EXTRA LONG SKIRT - on copper flare nut provides added support to tubing and reduces possibility of leaks. Pack Joint Connection ɡ NUT - corrosion resistant cast bronze ASTM B62 (85-5-5-5). ɡ GASKET - compressed against the fitting and pipe outer surface by tightening of nut. Not interchangable with the Jones® 110 Compression Connection gasket. ɡ PACK JOINT CONNECTION- available in three styles: for type "K" copper and PE tubing (CTS), for IPS PE (PEP) and PVC pipe.* ɡ 3/4" & 1" CTS NUT/GASKET ASSEMBLY ARE INTERCHANGABLE - with comparable size of Jones® 110 Compression Connections nut/gasket assembly CTS only.
