A unique bachelor’s programme with a focus on craftsmanship Operation and Maintenance Engineers go through a minimum of 18 months of craftsmanship training followed by a 3-year bachelor ’s programme whose curriculum spans Thermal technologies, Power production and distribution, Process automation and Management and more. This gives Operation and Maintenance Engineers a broad and solid basis for solving a wide range of operational, technical and management challenges. A real-life experience During their final semester, students spend three months at a commercial company for their bachelor’s internship. This gives the additional dimension of on-the-job experience in a concrete setting, to analyse technology and management challenges and present solutions as part of their bachelor’s project. This gives them a unique opportunity to acquire key, practical experience from the very start of their career. Where is their expertise applied? Qualified Operation and Maintenance Engineers go on to run power plants, factories, public utilities and offshore production to name a few, and take responsibility for managing operations, planning, maintenance strategies and optimization processes across diverse industries – from project management to executive levels. The programme – key facts - Its name: Bachelor in Technology Management and Marine Engineering - Its duration: 4.5 years and a total of 270 ECTS (90 ECTS are acquired through 18 months of practical/workplace training. The remaining 180 ECTS from the primarily theoretical 3-year bachelor programme). - Its level: this degree is at level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework, the same level as any other engineering programme.
