LC3: As quiet as the chirping of a bird 140 db(A) 100 db(A) 60 db(A) 50 db(A) Car race Ghettoblaster Rustling in the treetops LC3 - chirping of a bird In numerous medical devices, a quiet, gentle and powerful movement is required. Treatment chairs, operating tables, x-ray equipment or other diagnostic devices - an electric actuator makes the devices simple to use and supports ergonomic working for medical staff. LINAK is now bringing an electric lifting column to the market, which meets even more requirements. The new LC3 can be subjected both to push and pull loads and can therefore also be used for ceiling mount for example. up to 1,400 Nm, while statically up to 3,000 Nm are permitted. Elegant, robust, and easy to clean LINAK has been developing and manufacturing electric actuator systems for medical products for several decades. In addition to quality and connectivity, the focus in the last few years has increasingly been returning to hygiene. Here the new LC3 also sets new standards here. By default, it meets protection class IPX4 and is therefore protected against splashing water. Optionally, there is also a version that is protected against water jets and meets protection class IPX6 if installed in the correct position. Not only does the column look elegant thanks to the aluminium profile with its grooveless design, but it is also very easy and convenient to clean and meets all hygiene standards. The new cable management is useful in cleaning and installation situations. The cables are pluggable and flush-mounted in the column, and optionally LINAK offers different possibilities for leading the cables through the lifting column. These could be the signal cable (such as to be able to connect a foot switch without cumbersome cabling), the motor cable, or the mains current supply cable. The column is compatible with the new LINAK control box generation. With the CO71 control box, the full capacity of the column can be utilised. Numerous hand controls, foot switches and other accessories round off the product range and make the LC3 the ideal solution for all kinds of applications. Sound is important One of the many features of the new electric lifting column is the low noise level as the LC3 moves very quietly at < 50 dB (A). What initially sounds merely like a convenience feature is an important criterion for focused working in many situations, such as surgery and examinations, and avoids unnecessary stress for patients and treatment situations. At MEDICA we show a new version of the LC3 Three different versions LINAK offers the LC3 in three different versions: 4,000 N, 5,000 N, or 6,000 N in push and pull. Under a pull load, the thrust in every version is 4,000 N with a safety factor of 5 which is guaranteed in both load directions. The compact installation dimension of the LC3 standard version of just 320 mm with a stroke length of 400 mm allows a very low access level for many patient positioning systems. In the standard programme, there are stroke lengths of 400 to 700 mm in 50 mm intervals, while other stroke lengths can also be offered on request. LINAK has designed many different bottom and top plates for different application options. As needed, a column can therefore be assembled according to the individual customer requirements. High bending force - high safety In many applications, for instance treatment couches, high stability along with actuation force are of high importance. Should the load only be exerted on one side of the bed, the column still needs to run smoothly. The dynamic bending moment of the column is Small built-in dimensions, maximum stroke lenght 3
