Here are a few examples of projects previous interns have worked on: • VSM mapping and process documentation followed by process validation and optimisation • Flow analysis of transportation between buildings and optimisation of driving patterns • Warehouse layout changes, including analysis of material flow from warehouse to production and subsequent flow optimisation • Mapping of packaging consumption and identification of cost-reduction opportunities in collaboration with production and suppliers • Participation in global supply chain projects, including: • Supplier optimisation initiatives and cost-down projects • Supplier Relationship Management (e.g. cockpit/dashboard solutions) • Analysis of contractual frameworks, including buffer agreements and overview of liability Hear from a former intern; “I have been very happy with the department and with having a good manager who listens to the areas I’m interested in.
