PEOPLE - FRISTADS DURING THE PANDEMIC Protecting workers and suppliers during a pandemic. At Fristads, we know that we have a responsibility to work together with our factories to maintain employment relationships and make changes in the workplace in order to protect the health of workers. During 2020, Covid-19 has magnified existing inequalities, systemic vulnerabilities, and challenges in global garment supply chains. Our goal since March 2020 has been to: • Honour order obligations and pay in full for orders completed or in progress. • Have weekly communication with our main suppliers to support and understand their business and human challenges. • Work with suppliers, including raw material, to collaboratively plan and secure capacity needed, and provide updated forecasts. • Put the health and safety of the garment factories workers on top of our priorities by: - Delaying audits when necessary, to avoid third party external auditors to potentially contaminate the premises, - Supporting factories’ management teams to implement sustainable health and safety Covid-19 measures upon reopening and further, - Conducting virtual audit review and monitoring. While the effects of the pandemic are severe, we believe that the situation offers a unique opportunity to rebuild structures in a more sustainable and fair way. 22 FRISTADS SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2020
