PLANET – FRISTADS GREEN Nominated for Design S – Swedish Design Awards 2020 Design S is Sweden’s national design award and singles out creative and innovative solutions in every imaginable area of pro- ducts, services and environments, regardless of the design field. In 2020, the Fristads Green craftsman collection was nominated to the award in the category Sustainability. This category rewards “innovative design solutions that contribute to a sustainable lifestyle in a sustainable society.” Among other criteria, the products are judged based on whether they are durable, contain recycled materials and are energy and resource efficient. Finalist for the Swedish Grand Award of Design 2020 In 2020, the Fristads Green craftsman col - lection was a finalist for the Swedish Grand Award of Design, a prize established by the employer organisation Teknikföretagen in 2003. The purpose of the annual award is to draw attention to the design of products, product ranges and services from Swedish companies and their suppliers. Form, func - tion, commercial success, level of innovation, news value and sustainability are a few of the elements that are judged. Winner of the red dot award: Design concept 2019 The Fristads Green craftsman collection was awarded the internationally acclaimed Red Dot Award: Design Concept in September 2019. Red Dot is an award for high design quality. The international jury only awards this sought-after seal of quality to works that set themselves significantly apart from the competition thanks to their excellent design. The Design Concept category searches the globe every year for well-designed inven- tions, novel concepts and ready-to-launch products that are not yet on the market. Only 6% of the more than 4,000 entries that are received every year are rewarded with the Red Dot Award: Design Concept and receive the Red Dot Mark Winner of the sustainability highly commended award 2019 At the Professional Clothing Awards 2019 held in June, Fristads received the Sustaina - bility Highly Commended Award for its EPD project and Fristads Green collection. The Professional Clothing Awards was establis- hed in 2009 to recognise the international uniform supply chain and reward exceptional workwear, corporate clothing and PPE from around the world. Fristads Green Collection. In the coming years, we plan to launch environmentally declared garments in all product categories.
