A Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management. The core professional competence of a bygningskonstruktør is to secure quality in all phases and transitions in building, construction and projects. With his or her practice- and theory-based knowledge, a bygningskonstruktør can: ■ M anage planning and design and, at the same time, be in charge of the practical construction mana­ gement. ■ O perate as a central link between and among project providers, cli­ ents, engineers, architects, crafts­ men, suppliers, authorities and, lastly, future users. ■ Create an overview with many professionals and specialists wor­ king together, whether it is in the private or public sector – or within or outside the construction field. ■ Cooperate and communicate with people from various educatio­ nal, linguistic and cultural back­ grounds. The Bachelor of Architectural Tech­ nology and Construction Manage­ ment degree is a 3½ year educa­ tion with admission for craftsmen, students and the more technically minded students with certificate or baccalaureate (Eux). This education is one-of-a-kind and is not found in any other country than Denmark.
