The organization serves as a platform for knowhow sharing and idea generating among the member organizations. ANE is a strong voice of engineers in the Nordic Region. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its more than 419,000 members in over 160 countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe. Professor Irina Shklovski, from the University of Copenhagen, focuses on ethics in technology development, information privacy, social networks, and relational practices. In her projects Irina addresses responsible technology design, data governance and the sense of powerlessness people experience in the face of massive personal data collection. Pernille Tranberg from DataEthics.eu, focusses on collecting, creating and communicating knowledge about data ethics in close interaction with international institutions, organisations and academia. DataEthics.eu is a politically independent ThinkDoTank based in Denmark with a European (and global) outreach. The organization strives to ensure primacy of the human being in a world of data, based on a European legal and value-based framework.
