Preface Dear privately employed members The Board of IDA Private Sector is working to ensure that you have a strong position in the labour market and that you have an attractive working life. During 2023, the board has worked actively to make IDA’s many services within the salary and employment area even more relevant and acces- sible to you. We focus on, for example, salary negotiations, well-being and hybrid working life – but also work with the many applications and initiatives that you yourselves, in the workplaces, apply for funds to im- plement. As a board, it is impressive to follow your enthusiasm, and we will continue to support your local commitment and unity among IDA members and colleagues. At the same time, the board has been concerned with how IDA can best support the growing number of members in a wide range of areas – such as artificial intelligence, which holds enormous potential for develop - ment and efficiency, but of course also challenges and new dilemmas. IDA has therefore increased its focus on workplace monitoring to guide and counsel employees and managers. Other areas include diversity and gender equality, as well as the working environment, where we on the board have contributed to updating IDA’s policies so that IDA can take a stronger position in society in these areas of working life. This year has once again seen a special focus from the board on IDA’s international members. We are represented by international members on the board, and IDA Private Sector’s conferences and general meetings are live-translated into English. This has meant that there is now very good support from both Danish and international members. So much support, in fact, that this autumn we will be testing a new concept for the IDA Private Sector Autumn Conference. On 28 September 2024, we will gather a lot of members for a one-day conference focusing on the future of working life and networking for IDA members. Enjoy your reading. Kind regards Søren Vang Fischer Chairperson, IDA Private Sector IDA Private sector report 03
