FlowCon Wafer DN50-1000 / 2”-40” 06/2025 Installation and Operation Instruction The FlowCon Wafer valve is for double flanged connections and covers: • FlowCon Wafer DN50-80 (2”-3”) installed with 1 pc. 3” stainless steel insert • FlowCon Wafer DN100-1000 (4”-40”) installed with multiple 3” stainless steel inserts FlowCon recommends ordering each wafer based on required flow and ΔP range and with insert(s) installed from factory. Gaskets and counter flanges are not supplied by FlowCon. Studs and nuts may be available upon request. General Assembly Drawing FlowCon Wafer 1. Valve housing 2. 3” stainless steel insert(s) FlowCon DN50 / 2” 3. Extended p/t plugs (2 pcs.) 4. Retainer clip and O-ring for housing size DN50-80) 5. Screws and washers (quantity depend on housing size DN100+, shape can be round or triangle) FlowCon DN200 / 8” Insert Selection and Installation Single insert housings may include either a standard flow or a high capacity 3” stainless steel insert. It is recommended to lubricate the O-ring located around the insert. Check the placement of the O-ring and finger place the insert in the valve housing - there is no need to use tools. Once installed, the retainer clip is fitted to hold the insert in proper place. Multiple insert housings may include standard flow , high capacity of high flow 3” stainless steel inserts. The total flow rate is achieved by adding the flow rate of each insert. Here no O- ring or retainer clip is required. Inserts are fitted in the housing and hold in place by a number of screws and washers (shape can be round or triangle) depending on valve size.
