FlowCon Wafer DN50-1000 / 2”-40” 04/2024 Installation and Operation Instruction The FlowCon Wafer valve is for double flang- ed connections and covers: • FlowCon Wafer DN50-80 (2”-3”) - installed with 1 pc. 3” stainless steel insert • FlowCon Wafer DN100-1000 (4”-40”) - installed with multiple 3” stainless steel inserts Gaskets and counter flanges are not supplied by FlowCon. Studs and nuts may be available upon request. General Assembly Drawing FlowCon Wafer 1) Valve housing 2) 3” stainless steel insert(s) FlowCon DN50 / 2” 3) Extended p/t plugs (2 pcs.) 4) Retainer clip and O-ring (for housing size DN50-80) 5) Screws and washers (quantity depend on housing size DN100+) FlowCon DN200 / 8” Insert Selection and Installation Single insert housings may include either a standard flow or a high capacity 3” stain- less steel insert. It is recommended to lubricate the O-ring located around the insert. Check the placement of the O-ring and finger place the in - sert in the valve housing - there is no need to use tools. Once installed, the retainer clip is fitted to hold the insert in proper place. Larger housings with multiple inserts may in - clude standard flow , high capacity of high flow 3” stainless steel inserts. The total flow rate is achieved by adding the flow rate of each insert in the same housing. Here no O-ring or retainer clip is required. Inserts are fitted in the housing and hold in place by a number of screws and washers depending on valve size.
