FlowCon EDP 15-50 mm (1/2”-2”) 1H95030 - 02/2024 Installation and Operation Instruction The FlowCon EDP inserts are for use with three different FlowCon valve housings, either: FlowCon A DN15-25 (1/2”-1”) FlowCon AB DN15-50 (1/2”-2”) FlowCon ABV DN15-40 (1/2”-1 1/2”) Figure 1 Insert Setting and Installation Prior to installing the FlowCon EDP insert (sup- plied from factory in setting 1.1 to facilitate as- sembly), the system should be properly flushed. Blank valve covers are available to be installed during flushing. It is recommended to grease the O-rings locat- ed around the insert and headnut with silicone grease before installing the insert in the valve housing. After installation and if the side tapping on the connector-ring is in the way, the connec- tion-ring may be independently turned clockwise for a more optimal position. Setting is better car- ried out after the insert is installed in the valve housing. During system start-up, please ensure that ΔpC does not exceed maximum operation pressure of 500 kPaD. digits, numbered 1 to 5, indicate full turns and the digits on the red counterwheel, numbered 0 to 9, indicate 1/10 of full turn (Figure 2 shows setting 4.2). ΔpC can be measured between Partner Valve (p/t plug same 4.2 sided as the capillary tube) and EDP (first p/t plug). Please wait until the EDP has stabilized itself. Figure 2 Capillary tube Do not damage the capillary tube by compressing or bending the tube with a bending radius below 20 mm (3/4”). Capillary tube is to be mounted us- ing max. 0.1 Nm - DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. General Assembly Drawing FlowCon EDP A: Valve housing B: EPD insert C: Adjustment key D1: P/t plug (2 pcs.)
