FlowCon T-JUST Thermostatic Valve for Domestic Water The FlowCon T-JUST controls the temperature of the water which circulates through the sub-circuit. The T-JUST is factory pre-set to +60°C and can be adjusted to a required temperature between +35°C and +65°C. Please allow a minimum ΔT of 5°C between the hot water tank and the T-JUST at the critical tapping point to account for expected heat loss in the circulation pipe. The circuit is in balance when the water temperature has reached the temperature set on the T-JUST. FACTS: Legionnaire’s disease is an infection which in 90% of all cases is caused by Legionella Pheumphila. Since the infection is transmitted when inhaling aerosolized, contaminated water into the lungs, the presence of bacteria in water systems creates a risk wherever there are aerosol-producing devices. The ideal conditions for transmission of infection are seen in water tanks and water installations in dwelling buildings, commercial buildings and public buildings such as hotels, hospitals, etc. The T-JUST also includes a by-pass feature which can be either manually operated or electrically actuated. The purpose of the by-pass is to increase the water temperature to a maximum for a time period to avoid bacterial problems such as Legionella. The normal recommended physical method of bacteria pasteurization is thermal disinfection, where water is heated up to “disinfection temperature” and maintained for a specific “disinfection time”. The FlowCon T-JUST is designed and ready to perform a regular thermal disinfection at a temperature of up to +70°C to lower the risk of Legionella. • Thermal balance secures the correct water temperature at each draw-off tap. • Field adjustable allows temperature setting to be changed on demand. • High accuracy of ±2°C due to individual calibration. • Sublime valve design insusceptible to blockage. • Easy maintenance due to insert design - allows rinsing or descaling of the insert without removing the valve from the installation. • Manual or automatic by-passing possibility while the system is running to reduce risk of Legionella.
