More passengers in the first 9 months of 2007 DSB’s profit before tax totalled DKK 560m. The result is DKK 196m lower than the same period in 2006 (DKK 756m), which is primarily due to increased financial expenses and decreasing revenue from traffic contracts. Passenger revenues increased Passenger revenues totalled DKK 3,204m in the first 9 months of 2007 (DKK 3,174m) corre-sponding to an increase of DKK 30m. Profit before depreciation, amortisation and write-downs totalled DKK 1,972m (DKK 2,140m) The decrease can primarily be ascribed to decreasing revenue from traffic contracts and planned already paid additional expenses to customer service initiatives. More passengers The total number of passengers increased by 1 per cent. Of this, the number of passengers on the longdistance and regional train lines increased by 4 per cent to 51.0 million passengers, while the number of Strain passengers decreased by approx. 3 per cent, which i.a. is due to track works on the Køge Bugt Line and the take over of Lille Nord by Lokalbanen. Punctuality reached 89.6 per cent for long-distance and regional trains and 92.4 for Strains.
