WORK ACCIDENTS WITH AT LEAST ONE DAY OF ABSENCE Number of accidents 250 200 189 194 171 150 100 50 0 2022 2023 2024 DLG has a long-term goal of 0 work-related accidents. To ensure continuous focus, we have established an sub-goal of an annual 10% reduction in work-related accidents. A SAFE WORKPLACE We believe that all employees should be able to go to work, do their jobs and return home safe and sound, both physically and mentally. Every DLG Group employee is required to actively take responsibility for their own and their colleagues’ safety and wellbeing. In particular, managers have a responsibi- lity to prioritise safety as a focus area and train their employees in safe behaviour in the workplace. This is especially important because we often work with or near heavy machinery and vehicles, in different weather conditions and under tight deadlines. We want to lead the way and set the direction for the industry. We work actively and purposefully to minimise the risk of work-related accidents and increase wellbeing. It is crucial that we have clear guidelines, and trust and care for each other and those we work with. We strive for zero accidents but recognise that this is an ambitious goal, which is why we have set an sub-goal of reducing the number of accidents by 10% per year. In 2024, the number of work-related accidents totalled 189, which is an increase of 18 accidents compared to 2023 and thus not satisfactory. The increase in work-related accidents mainly occurred in DLG a.m.b.a. and Team Agrar, where the number of people at the different locations is high, especially during the harvest period. The DLG Group has had an increased focus on work safety, including attention to registering occupational accidents, which also seems to have increased the reporting of work-related accidents. In 2025, we will continue our major focus on work safety to cut the number of work-related accidents. Our 2025 target is a maximum of 170 work accidents, which would mean that we would be able to reach our sub-goal of reducing the number of work accidents by 10% annually. SAFETY INITIATIVES THROUGHOUT THE GROUP In recent years, we have made significant efforts to increase safety and prevent accidents in all parts of the Group. This includes training employees in safety procedures, introducing new safety systems for the recording of accidents and near-misses, continuous follow-ups on the number of work-related accidents at all levels of the Group, and conducting awareness campaigns. During 2024, we had a strong focus on strengthening the safety culture across the Group. We made a targeted effort to reduce the number of work-related accidents and create a safer working environment for all employees. These initiatives are part of our overall ambition to make safety a fundamental principle that supports all of our activities. Focus on recording near-misses has also been an important part of the agenda for the past year. As part of the Group-wide initiative, ’Safe@work’, employees across companies were encouraged to share their best safety tips to inspire each other to a safer working environ- ment. The Group’s best safety advice was compiled in a video produced as part of the campaign. Stories from 50 DLG ANNUAL REPORT 2024
