Team is also part of the Tankpool24 network, which serves business customers through a large network of petrol stations. NEW ALTERNATIVE DIESEL FUEL In 2024, Team Energy launched the new and more environmentally-friendly fuel HVO100. HVO100 makes it possible to reduce CO 2 emissions from diesel vehicles by up to 90%. The new fuel produces up to 33% less particulate matter and up to 9% less nitrogen oxide compared to conventional diesel. HVO100 is extracted from by-products such as tall oil from paper production or from waste materials such as used cooking fat. HVO100 is used by commercial customers, e.g. public bus companies, hauliers and agricultural com- panies. The fuel HVO100 for the time being is available at Team stations in Flensburg, Magdeburg and Kiel and will be rolled out to more Team stations during 2025. STABLE YEAR FOR THE DANISH PART OF THE ENERGY BUSINESS DCC Energy, of which DLG Group owns 40%, maintai- ned its historically strong focus on supplying Danish ag- riculture with traditional energy solutions in the past year. The Danish part of the energy business general- ly experienced a moderate decline in profit after tax. However, the growth in the aviation business with sales of e.g. bio-based SAF fuel for air transport and activities in the petrol station market meant that DCC Energy also made a positive contribution to the DLG Group’s overall accounts in 2024. In 2024, a new strategy was also launched with the clear aim of helping customers with the green energy transi- tion. Today, DCC Energy is a market leader in the sale of energy solutions for agriculture, where the company also buys and sells biogas to Danish end customers. Therefore, the expansion of the network 30 DLG ANNUAL REPORT 2024 of fast chargers continued at the Shell petrol stations operated by the energy company in Denmark. The new business areas within e-mobility, consulting and instal- lation of heat pumps and heating services were also expanded in 2024, and sales of HVO to commercial and public sector customers grew. THE ENERGY MARKET IN THE COMING YEAR Gas and electricity are expected to grow in the coming year, while the traditional energy sales market will conti- nue to decline. In addition, growth is expected in the freight transport sector. The same trend applies to mobility charging, where the growth from 2024 looks set to continue due to more hybrid and electric vehicles on the German market.
