We are committed to delivering on our target of meeting the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting the global average temperature rise to 1.5 °C. Our scope 1, 2 and 3 emission reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. VALUE FOR OWNERS AND CUSTOMERS DLG is a cooperative society founded by farmers, and this is part and parcel of our DNA. We believe in the cooperative idea that we are stronger together. That is why we believe that strategic partnerships can help us achieve growth. We also see partnerships as being key to exploring new growth opportunities in the future, and we are ready to grow our value chain both horizontally and vertically. By that we mean that we want to do more of what we are doing today, but we also need to find new ways and move up the value chain. We are already doing this, for example when it comes to the production of alternative plant proteins for both animal and human nutrition. In this way, we are boosting the group’s earnings potential and that of our owners, while at the same time contributing to the sustainable transition. Our customers in Denmark are also our owners, and we create value for them through our products and services, but also by running a strong and profitable business. It is our goal for the strategy period to increase the declaration of profit and make it even more attractive to be a DLG owner. COST LEADERSHIP AND STREAMLINED PROCESSES We must maintain our strong financial foundation by pursuing a cost leadership strategy and focus on running our business in the smartest and most efficient way. This also means that we must do more to exploit the economi- es of scale that follow from being a large group, thereby optimising our costs.
