BUSINESS AREAS AGRIBUSINESS Agribusiness involves crops, crop production and animal nutrition, including our egg and poultry activities. Besides Denmark, DLG has activities in Germany, Sweden, Poland and the Baltic states. DLG buys and sells crops such as grain, rapeseed, soya and maize. Within animal nutrition, DLG sells and produces complete feeds and feed supplements for pigs, cattle and poultry, while the crop cultivation activities range from breeding, seed and fertiliser, to plant protection and agricultural calcium carbonate for the elds. Organic production is a separate business area within DLG. SHARE OF REVENUE AND EMPLOYEES 64% 46% STRATEGIC EXPECTATIONS In the coming years, Agribusiness will grow through streamlining, cost management and optimisation of logistics and production, as well as by rethinking our business model, including new digitalisation initiatives. Growth in Agribusiness is also expected to be achieved through strategic investments in Denmark and abroad. PREMIX & NUTRITION Premix & Nutrition is among the largest producers of vitamins and minerals for livestock in Europe, with 17 factories in countries that include Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and China. DLG’s Premix & Nutrition activities are marketed under the Vilofoss brand. Over a number of years, DLG has gained significant know-how in this area and its focused efforts have produced strong results across companies and national borders. 6% 8% Vilofoss will grow organically through increased sales, primarily in the European market. Vilofoss will also focus on further exploiting Group synergies. As part of DLG’s Strategy 2021, Vilofoss plans to expand production capacity and invest in relevant partnerships abroad. ENERGY & RETAIL Energy & Retail has activities within energy, DIY stores, Land & Fritid (country and hobby) stores, and insurance. Team operates 195 lling stations and 77 DIY stores in Germany. In Denmark, the energy activities are operated via DLG’s ownership interest in DCC Energi, while Land & Fritid has 63 stores in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. 30% Energy & Retail is going to strengthen its position as market leader through increased sale and strategic investments, especially in Germany. 45% DLG 2019 3 IN BRIEF
