DLF Select - High Purity Seed END-TO-END QUALITY CONTROL – OUR INVESTMENT IN YOUR FUTURE To develop DLF Select we have evaluated every aspect of our processes to produce a high-performance and high-purity seed. We have selected our best varieties, placed them for production with the most skilled growers and the cleanest fields. The DLF specialists work to clean the seed on dedicated cleaning lines to ensure optimal purity. This is why we 1 PLANNING We plan each season’s production two years ahead. By working closely with customers through early planning of varieties and quantities, we ensure the availability of pure seed. 2 SELECTED GROWERS Preparing weed-free fields for production of DLF Select involves many years of weed control in the years before production starts. For DLF Select, we pick experienced growers who devote their cleanest fields to the growing of the purest crop. 3 FIELD MANAGEMENT Growers need exceptional skills to grow a crop of DLF Select seeds. Their fields require constant and careful monitoring and flawless weed control. 12 READY TO BE SHIPPED Each bag of DLF Select seeds gets its own distinctive DLF Select sticker, ready for shipment to our customers. 11 PACKAGING Batches of super-clean DLF Select seeds are bagged, labelled, and stored until shipped. 10 CAMERAS To improve the process, we put cameras by the cleaning lines to analyse seed samples. If they spot contaminants, we adjust the machines to keep only clean seed in the box.

Our integrated approach ensures that you can rely on DLF Select to deliver the highest purity seed, season after season, in the quantities you need. The process begins at the R&D stage. We choose only high-performance varieties for the DLF Select programme. And then only the best varieties go forward for production. 4 DLF INSPECTION During growing season, our DLF field consultants join growers on their field inspections. They offer advice on growth and management. 5 HARVEST If weeds or other grasses are found in the field or along the borders, growers isolate these areas from the rest of the field as harvest approach- es. When the harvesters move in, they collect only clean seed. 6 SEPARATE STORAGE DLF Select seed is stored separately from other seed, and clearly marked to make it easily identifiable. 9 ANALYSIS The cleaned seed lot is analysed and labelled with the appropriate quality grade. 8 TRAINED CLEANING OPERATORS Trained cleaning operators monitor the cleaning process to make sure all impurities are cleaned out. 7 SPECIALISED CLEANING LINES Specialised cleaning lines ensure optimal cleaning. If any seeds or other grasses are found, they are cleaned out.
