Improve an existing lawn 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm Low mowing The rst step is to closely mow the lawn. Choose a time when the grass is not damp. Remove all clippings after mowing. Rake the lawn 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm Rake the lawn to remove and break up dead matted grass or thatch. If the lawn is old, it may be bene cial to use a vertical cutter. Sow the seed Select a Tur ine ® mixture. GRASS FIX is a good choice for overseeding/repair. Sow in two directions. Soil temperature must be above 7°C unless you are using a mixture with Quick Action ® . 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm Feed the lawn Feed the lawn with a quality fertiliser containing N, P and K. High amount of nitrogen in spring and low nitrogen in autumn. Rake the lawn 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm cut: 3 - 4 cm Rake the area so that the seed and fertiliser come into contact with moisture to improve germination. Lightly roll if possible or apply 0,5 cm topdress. Irrigate the lawn 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm Make sure the seedbed is constantly moist. After establishment irrigation should be restricted. Water between 30-40 mm at a time to ensure a deeper root system. Mow the lawn 1 st cut: 6 - 8 cm 2 nd cut: 3 - 4 cm The cutting hight at the rst mowing should not be less than 6-8 cm. Trim lightly and gradually lower blades to an ideal cutting height of 3-4 cm.
