ForageMax® 3 Improving forage production in your fields depends on several factors. The top-four are: • Better feeding quality More digestible grasses and increased content of protein, sugar and other constituents •Higher and more reliable yield Increased and reliable yield throughout, for example, dry or cold periods •Less vulnerable crops Increased tolerance to a range of diseases means you don’t lose out on yield and quality • More sustainable crop A more efficient root system and plants that are more persistent make better use of vital nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Supporting your business through research One in ten of DLF employees worldwide is involved in R&D. They work closely with seed distributers and farmers to adapt, breed and test new products. This close market connection is your guarantee that, as a farmer, you will always have the best products to work with, now and in the future. Looking towards the next generation of products Our R&D pipeline produces a constant flow of top-performing new products – alfalfa, grasses, clover and even forage beets. With improved breeding techniques it has become easier to develop products that exactly fit the needs of the market or fulfil any specific agricultural purpose, such as protein extraction. In 2020 we are therefore focusing even more on protein extraction from our products. One outcome of this renewed approach is a cooperative programme to grow more protein to feed pigs and chickens. It’s one more way that Seeds & Science can make agriculture more profitable and sustainable for the good of everyone.
