According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the term “forced labour” covers a set of legal concepts and exploitative practices such as, but not limited to: bonded labour, coercive recruitment, withholding wages, retention of workers through threats or penalties, exploitation of vulnerable individuals or groups, and human trafficking. As a global sourcing company, DK Company recognizes that the prevalence and risks of forced labour vary depending on continent, country, and region. The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 sets the framework for DK Company’s commitment to preventing forced labour within our business and supply chain. DK Company is dedicated to continuously developing our efforts and practices. We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and with transparency in our business dealings by initiating effective systems and strengthening controls to safeguard against any form of forced labour or related violations. To prevent forced labour in our operations and supply chain, we commit to: Communicate this Forced Labour Policy to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally. Ensure all approved suppliers are trained to identify risks related to forced labour and other forms of exploitation. Guide and train relevant employees to handle incidents of forced labour in factories producing our products. Continuously assess and monitor the risks of forced labour in our approved supply chain, using credible risk data to identify high-risk products and regions. Support and engage with suppliers in strengthening their forced labour risk management systems through training and capacity-building initiatives. Implement systems to monitor and report violations, and to handle and resolve any forced labour-related allegations. Collaborate with international and local stakeholders to address challenges related to forced labour in the garment and footwear industry. Our objectives This policy outlines DK Company’s approach to identifying, preventing, and mitigating risks related to forced labour within our operations and supply chains. It will help us meet international guidelines and legal obligations prohibiting forced labour. 1
