EXPANSION JOINT TYPES FOR CHEMICAL PLANTS TIED DOUBLE BELLOWS This type absorbs larger axial and lateral movements than the single bellow. The tie rods control the movements that are absorbed. Other connection ends are available on request. HINGED EXPANSION JOINTS This type absorbs angular mo- vements and the hinges provide stability. These Expansion Joints are available with flanges and welding ends. PRESSURE BALANCED EXPANSION JOINTS This type absorbs axial movements and can also absorb lateral move- ments. They are available with both internal limiters (inline) and with exter- nal limiters. ELBOW EXPANSION JOINTS This type absorbs axial movements and can also absorb lateral move- ments. It is available with one or two working bellows. RING REINFORCED EXPANSION JOINTS This type absorbs movements under high operating pressures. Ring rein- forcement ensures pressure integrity and stability. JACKETED EXPANSION JOINTS This type of joint is used for pipelines with media that solidify. A chamber is placed between the two Expansion Bellows that allows a heating medium to run, thereby avoiding solidification of the medium. OTHER EXPANSION JOINT TYPES FOR CHEMICAL PLANTS Belman offers a large range of Expan- sion Joint types and designs involving Gimbal Expansion Joints, Double Hin- ged Expansion Joints, 2-ply testable bellows etc. All of which can also be installed in chemical applications.
