How to cook Arla® Pro Grilling Cheese Cooking Arla® Pro Grilling Cheese brings out the flavour, adds a savoury touch and gives the cheese an appealing bite that suits all types of meat-free dishes. Below, we’ll take you through five quick and simple cooking methods that bring out the best in Arla® Pro Grilling Cheese. The cooking times are only guidelines – cook until the cheese is warm and has reached the right colour. Arla® Pro Grilling Cheese should always be cooked before serving. Perfect for burgers 1. Fry Pan-frying or frying on a plancha gives the cheese an appealing golden brown surface. By frying at medium/high heat, the surface will almost caramelize, adding new flavours to the cheese. A few quick tips: Placing a burger press on the patty will ensure an even browning. Frying in butter improves both browning and taste but oil can also be used. Equipment: Non-stick pan or plancha Temperature: Medium/high heat Cooking time: Approx. 2-3 minutes per side 2. Deep-fry By deep-frying your patties, you’ll achieve a perfectly even browning and a savoury flavour from the crust. Due to the firm consistency of the cheese, the oil will not permeate, but simply brown the surface. The inside will turn out warm and juicy. A quick tip: Avoid food waste by cutting the ends into cubes or sticks for deep-frying. Great for snacks or wraps. Equipment: Deep-fryer (preferably) or pot with oil Temperature: 180 °C Cooking time: Approx. 2.5 minutes (flip over halfway) Important: Only cook 1-3 patties at a time 3. Deep-fry breaded If you are going for a truly crispy crust, we recommend breading the cheese before deep-frying. Use your preferred type of breading. The result is a perfect combination of a crunchy outside and juicy inside – with a savoury and indulgent flavour. Equipment: Deep fryer (preferably) or pot with oil Temperature: 180 °C Cooking time: Approx. 2.5 minutes (flip over halfway) Important: Only cook 1-3 patties at a time
