Transocean Leader, Norway Rig Projects focus on resources and planning After a very busy year for the Rig Projects division, 2013 is expected to be a more typical year with time to carry out improvements in the organisation. 2012 was the busiest year on record for Rig Projects at Semco Maritime. The number and scale of projects rose to an all-time high – very much in line with the company’s strategy: “We want to dominate the market in the North Sea region. We have been the largest Danish company in our segment for some time, and after acquiring the engineering company Capelrig in Aberdeen, things are moving forward in the UK market” says Vice President Henrik Aarøe Neergaard. Focus on resources and sales He points out that 2013 is not expected to be as busy as 2012 – thus freeing up time and resources for other tasks: “We have witnessed unprecedented growth – and that has left us with some challenges. We often see peaks and troughs in activity which makes it difficult for us to use resources and organisation optimally. In 2013 we want to introduce systems that will make our long-term planning better – especially with regard to resources and sales”. 1
