SECTION 2 – Service Saddles General Information J-965 or J-969 Designed for Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, AC and C900 PVC pipe. Available in single and double strap. Straps are stainless steel. Torque installation instructions are attached to saddle. Single strap available in sizes 4"-12" with taps 3/4" and 1". Double stap available in sizes 4"-24" with taps 3/4" to 2". Bodies are cast bronze. Straps and nuts are stainless steel. J-975 and J-979 For Cast Iron Pipe and Ductile Iron Pipe. Jones bronze saddles are available in single and double strap. The saddles are cast from 85-5-5-5 waterworks bronze. They are specified by Jones number J-975 (Single Strap) or J-979 (Double Strap). When ordering please specify single or double strap, type and size of pipe, and type of thread, CC or IP. Straps are silicon bronze and are secured with bronze nuts. Single strap available in sizes 4"-12" with taps 3/4" and 1". Double stap available in sizes 4"-24" with taps 3/4" to 2". J-995 and J-996 Special Design for Steel Pipe O.D. O.D. controled saddles PVC Pipe Only (J-995) Available in sizes 2" to 8" with taps 3/4" to 2". Please specify CC or IP tap (J-995) Special Design for C-900 Ductile Iron Size PVC Pipe Only (J-996) Available in sizes 4" to 12". We offer CC (3/4" - 2") and IP (3/4" - 2-1/2") (J-996) This two-piece design affords simplicity and speed of installation and offers maximum support around the entire pipe. Wide, solid band allows distribution of pressure over wide areas. The Nitrile-N O-Ring is glued into a groove that is cast into the saddle. This O-Ring forms a seal on the pipe surface when tightened. Bodies are cast bronze and bolts are silicon bronze. When pressurizing plastic pipe there is a possibility of pipe expansion. Caution should be taken for proper tightening. WARNING: Use on A-C pipe, which contains a known carcinogen, requires appropriate protective equipment and procedures be employed. Rev 10-18 1
