In this capacity, McCawley participated at ExpoNaval 2014, the most important international exhibition of naval and maritime affairs held in Chile. He also took part in the concurrent exhibition maritime port conference, Transport 2014. “We noted quite a bit of enthusiasm. The shipping industry will see cost reductions and environmental benefits from having high-quality reefers manufactured right here in this part of the world. We help customers achieve savings on repositioning, and Star Cool technologies like CA help ensure the cold chain,” McCawley said. Crash test is a hit - more than 18,000 hits on YouTube The Discovery Channel contacted MCI and asked for a spectacular container test to form part of a TV series about the world’s biggest ships. At MCI, we aim to build the strongest and sturdiest containers to provide the best possible protection for our customers’ cargos. So we obliged. It is not unusual for our engineers to devise some unconventionally tough tests at the R&D test centre. But a controlled free-fall will probably hold the prize for a while and interest from viewers was overwhelming.
