AJ Eklipta AJ Eklipta was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1959 for Rødovre Town Hall. He originally designed the light in two sizes: Ø 350 and Ø 450, and later used a smaller version – Ø 220 – for St. Catherine’s College in Oxford. AJ Eklipta is an ultra-minimalist product which, in addition to featuring a unique lighting concept, is designed with great enthusiasm for highlighting the unique opportunities offered by the materials. The clear glass edge that surrounds the fixture evokes a halo around the opalised surface when the light is both on and off. It is a beautiful, spectacular touch that clearly demonstrates Arne Jacobsen’s keen eye for even the smallest detail.
