So much for so little AS A MEMBER OF IDA YOU KNOW THAT WE WANT TO GIVE YOU THE BEST POSSIBLE STUDENT EXPERIENCE. THAT MEANS HIGH AMBITIONS WITH EVEN MORE BENEFITS AND AN EVEN STRONGER NETWORK. WE ALSO WANT TO REINFORCE DENMARK’S ABILITY TO COMPETE AND TO SET THE COURSE FOR ENGINEERS AND SCIENCE GRADUATES WITH GROWTH AND POTENTIAL IN AN OPEN, GLOBAL ECONOMY. IDA – the engineering union – is an interest group in the best possible sense of the word. You mean a great deal to us, and we are dedicated to creating optimal conditions for your time of study as well as your future career. As an IDA member, you’re part of a large and strong network that will keep expanding and developing. In order to back up our Vision 2020 with action, we will begin charging a membership fee of DKK20 per month as of 1 January 2012. The fee is a deductible expense, and if you take advantage of just one of our many membership benefits – such as IDA insurance – you will get more than your money’s worth. IDA MEMBERSHIP GIVES YOU AN ENVIABLE NUMBER OF BENEFITS. AND SOME MAY FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE! To a lot of people, IDA’s membership benefits sound too good to be true. And that can land you in situations that put your credibility to the test. But you may as well get used to it, because it really does cost just DKK20 per month for cheap student insurance coverage, a student bank account, professional and social events, student job counselling, a digital engineering magazine, and lots of networking opportunities. Keep up to date with the envy of your Indian colleagues on ida.dk/studerende, and your school’s IDA facebook page. In Denmark IDA charges just DKK20 in student membership fees. What? They must be crazy! I can’t even buy laundry detergent for that price!
