FlowCon FN.0.2 actuator ELECTRICAL ACTUATORS Actuator wiring The wiring diagram for FlowCon FN.0.2 is shown in figure 5. FN.0.2 / 1.2 / 5.2 / 6.2 Actuator FlowCon FN.0.2 Actuator Green White Black Please note that during auto stroke cycle, the actuator will not respond to the control signal. Calibration Input signal 0(2)-10V DC Feedback signal 0(2)-10V DC Power 24V AC/DC Ground/common Figure 5 Dip switch settings Lift the silicone cap on the back of the actuator to get access to the dip switches (figure 6). When the dip switches have been set according to the setup needed, power is applied. This results in automatic calibration of the actuator, during which, the red indicator light will blink in a loop of 1 sec. on, 1 sec. off. During this procedure the actuator will detect the closing point of the valve and then move to fully open position. When the calibration is finished, the indicator will blink in a loop of 1 sec. on, 9 sec. off, and the actuator is now ready for a control signal. During operation the actuator will self-adjust according to the closing point of the valve. Red Figure 6: Dip switch factory settings (ON-OFF-ON). Dip switch no. 1- Rotation direction: OFF - Normally open. ON - Normally closed. Dip switch no. 2 - Auto stroke: OFF - Deactivated. ON - Activated. Dip switch no. 3 - Analog control and feedback signal: OFF - 2-10V DC. ON - 0-10V DC. To disengage the actuator or perform manual override, please turn off the power supply and press the release button while turning the top part of the actuator counter clockwise 30° (figure 2, previous page). The piping network can now be tested if necessary by manually adjusting the valve adaptor knob. IMPORTANT: The actuator and the valve adaptor are matched and calibrated together from factory. So please make sure that the two parts received together, are the two parts mounted together on the valve. If the actuator is matched on site with another valve adaptor, this could influence on the force of the actuator. Removing actuator / Manual override operation Auto stroke option With the auto stroke option activated, the actuator will make one full cycle every 24 hour, if the actuator constantly has been in fully open or fully closed position during the previous 24 hours. This operation will clear up any possible impurities accumulated in the valve, and recalculate the end positions. Warranty obligation Failure to abide by all recommendations as per this installation and operation instruction will void warranty.
