FlowCon FB actuators ELECTRICAL ACTUATORS INSTALLATION AND OPERATION INSTRUCTION FlowCon FB.0.2, FB.0.3, FB.0.4 and FB.0.5 actuators The actuator type FlowCon FB.0.2 is an electrical modulating actuator supplied with an integrated connection union. The actuator is fitted directly onto the cartridge by a finger tighten of the connection union. Do not use additional tools. After installation FB.0.2 will need to be calibrated, to match the stroke length of your specific FlowCon valve (please see “calibration”). The actuator types FlowCon FB.0.3, FB.0.4 and FB.0.5 are electrical 3-point-floating actautors supplied with an integrated connection union. The actuator is fitted directly onto the cartridge by a finger tighten of the connection union. Do not use additional tools. Actuator wiring. Wiring diagram for actuator type: FlowCon FB.0.2 is shown in figure 2. Fitting and orientation of the actuator. Every FlowCon FB actuator is delivered in “open” position, so it easily can be fitted on the valve. Max 85º Max 85º Please be cautious when connecting input signal wire and feedback signal wire to terminal. Do not expose these to other voltage range than specified. This could damage the actuator. Wiring diagram for actuator types: FlowCon FB.0.3-FB.0.5 is shown in figure 3. FB.0.3 / FB.0.4 / FB.0.5 Actuator Orange Brown Power 230V AC 24V AC 110V AC Figure 1 Ground/common Please install the valve so that the actuator is located upwards and higher than the valve center line to prevent condensation into the electronics (figure 1). Further, the actuator cannot be covered by insulation material. Never install the actuator in closed position as this may damage the valve or actuator.
