Welcome 02 YOUR COUNTRYSIDE 2023 A warm welcome to all who regularly receive our brochure and to those who are reading it for the first time, we hope you find it informative. With an increasing focus on UK Farming to ensure land farmed contributes in an environmentally sustainable way; biodiversity, pollinators, regenerative agricultural, improving soil health and water quality, stewardship and cover crops grown to a high quality will all have a key role to play in this. As well as the benefits they bring direct to the field, stewardship and cover crops contribute to form a core element of agri-environment schemes, providing growers with additional revenue streams as a result. Whatever your requirement for Stewardship, Cover Crops, Game Cover or Forage, we trust that ‘Your Countryside 2023’ will guide you to easy solutions to your cropping needs. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All the species marketed by DLF Seeds Ltd are trialled at our Gloucestershire site. In consultation with many of our customers, we trial and evaluate many different types of products and mixture prescriptions. We believe this is the most important part of the process as we procure seed from more than a dozen countries, so testing and evaluating performance under UK conditions is vital. Our customers may rest assured that they are dealing with a forward thinking company which invests heavily in R&D, majoring in forage crops but also focusing on many other crop species. Our Product, Species and Mixture of the year have been carefully selected using customer feedback. Our main goal is to ensure that our customers receive the best possible product portfolio we can supply for the stewardship schemes and the Your Countryside catalogue continues to offer valuable technical information and advice on a diverse range of game cover, environmental stewardship mixtures, root crops and cover crops products. However, if you are unable to find exactly what you are looking for within this catalogue, please contact your local technical expert who will be able to assist and advise you on your specialist mixture. We gratefully acknowledge all photographic contributions.
