Aalborg Proactive No. 5 · November 2010 Service letter on inert gas systems New oxygen analyser AAL7000 Aalborg Industries Inert Gas Systems B.V. is proud to introduce its in-house developed oxygen analyser AAL7000. Aalborg Industries’ history in design and manufacturing goes far back. Willem Smit & Co's Transformatorenfabriek NV, founded in 1875, has designed and built furnaces from 1936 and inert gas generators from 1957. In 2006, the Aalborg Industries Group acquired Smit Gas Systems. In recent years, the need for a more stable and accurate oxygen analyser for marine applications has arisen. With our experience in this area we have focused on specific properties that have caused problems with other systems previously used in our inert gas generators. AAL7000 is based on a state-of-theart microprocessor and is manufactured under stringent ISO/NATO ICB regulations. n On the front of the monitor, a 2 x 16 characters display and four keys for operation are accessible. n At the back of the monitor the terminals are split in 2 columns for convenient installation. After extensive research, development and testing Aalborg Industries introduces the new oxygen analyser AAL7000. The oxygen analyser is designed for high performance and easy operation. The AAL7000 features two main instruments: n Monitoring unit processing the probe signal making operation and calibration easier. n Zirconia-oxide oxygen probe generating a signal of present oxygen contents in the inert gas generator sample line.
